A rare and highly distinctive vintage Seiko Hi-Beat automatic wristwatch, manufactured in January 1978. This timepiece comes complete with its original Seiko presentation box, its factory-original signed Seiko two-tone bracelet, and a sought-after bilingual English/French day-date wheel complication. It stands out immediately with its striking hexagonal, chunky stainless steel case architecture and a gorgeous gradient purple dial with a vertical brown center stripe, perfectly representing Seiko's bold, experimental design language from the late 1970s.

Signed with the applied metallic "SEIKO" wordmark, "AUTOMATIC", "17 JEWELS", "HI-BEAT", the Daini Seikosha lightning bolt logo, and "JAPAN 2906" at the bottom.
