The cutlery belongs to the Villeroy collection created in 1935 by Christofle. The various pieces of this collection are adorned with a frieze composed of two interlaced lines with in the center a vegetal rosette.

Christofle is a French silversmithing and tableware company, founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christofle.

The company is known for introducing electroplated gold and silver in France in 1842. The company was acquired in 2012 by one of its shareholders, the luxury group of the Chalhoub family.
