A distinctive “The Worker” armchair, designed by Hella Jongerius for Vitra.

The chair combines a solid oak frame with cream fabric upholstery and a lacquered aluminium bridge supporting the wooden armrests. It is this unusual meeting of natural oak, soft textile and industrial aluminium that gives the chair its unmistakable Jongerius character.

The Worker is known for its carefully considered, almost handcrafted details and its relaxed seating position. A modern design classic—and also simply a very comfortable place to sit.

Condition

The armchair is in used condition.

There are several visible stains on the cream fabric of the seat. The lacquered aluminium also shows some small scratches consistent with age and normal use. These condition points are mentioned openly, so there are no surprises—please study the photographs carefully for the best impression.
