Pair of carved solid wood chairs – Louis XVI / Neoclassical style – 20th century

Elegant pair of solid wood chairs featuring finely carved decorative details with floral and geometric motifs and an ornate crest rail. The high shaped backrests, turned legs and richly carved frame create a refined and timeless appearance.

Both the seats and backrests are upholstered in an elegant striped damask fabric in ivory, red and gold tones, finished with matching red braid trim. The upholstery is in good overall condition and complements the classic design beautifully.

Perfect for a dining room, study, entrance hall or any traditional interior. They also make excellent accent chairs in vintage or classical settings.

The chairs show normal age-related wear consistent with use. They also feature a few small old woodworm holes, typical of antique wooden furniture. These are not active and do not affect the stability or functionality of the chairs.
