賣家描述
Nice copy of this classic work in nuclear physics and quantum mechanics by Max Born
In view of the important successes of quantum electrodynamics; an attempt has been made to describe the renormalization techniques to which these successes must largely be attributed. The shell model and the collective model of the nucleus are not firmly established, and are discussed more fully. The section on high energy physics machines has been expanded. More details have been given to the resonance methods. Nobel Laureate's lucid treatment of kinetic theory of gases, elementary particles, nuclear atom, wave-corpuscles, atomic structure and spectral lines, much more.

Max Born
“Max Born (11 December 1882 – 5 January 1970) was a German physicist and mathematician who was instrumental in the development of quantum mechanics. He also made contributions to solid-state physics and optics and supervised the work of a number of notable physicists in the 1920s and 1930s. Born won the 1954 Nobel Prize in Physics for his "fundamental research in quantum mechanics, especially in the statistical interpretation of the wave function.”
