The book is illustrated with 11 plates, and several text figures and diagrams. Published by Blackie & Son Limited, London and Glasgow, 1964. Publishers’ original green cloth boards, lettered in gilt on spine. The book comes with its original dust jacket.

Condition
Firm and well bound copy. The dust jacket is covered with self-adhesive covering for protection. The book in nice condition, and clean inside. No names or inscriptions. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are very good. Pages are clean, with light foxing marks to page edges. The text, and illustrations are clean and bright (Please see pictures).

Max Born
“Max Born (11 December 1882 – 5 January 1970) was a German physicist and mathematician who was instrumental in the development of quantum mechanics. He also made contributions to solid-state physics and optics and supervised the work of a number of notable physicists in the 1920s and 1930s. Born won the 1954 Nobel Prize in Physics for his "fundamental research in quantum mechanics, especially in the statistical interpretation of the wave function.”
