a magnificent desk or mantel clock made by St. James in the traditional English style, originally acquired in December 1995. The clock features an elegant case with highly figured walnut root veneer, ornamented with inlays, top finials and claw feet in bronze and brass. At the top of the dial there is a rotating lunar phase complication showing the 29.5-day lunar cycle. Inside houses a high-quality German mechanical movement Franz Hermle 340-020 (2 jewels) manually wound for 8 days of power reserve and a Westminster carillon chime striking on 5 internal metal rods. Provenance and Documentation (Full Set): This lot stands out for preserving its original plastic warranty card from the prestigious department store "El Corte Inglés" dated 29/12/1995, with the distributor's official seal, signature and matching serial number 256.05141. The original factory printed manual with adjustment instructions in several languages is also attached. Condition: The clock is in full working order and in excellent aesthetic condition. It has no damage or restorations. The side acoustic windows retain their original decorative glass etched by factory acid in perfect condition (no cracks or breaks). Delivered complete with its original wind-up butterfly key, the instruction manual and the vintage warranty card. A pristine collectible piece.
