Ancient Greek / Luristan Bronze Arrowhead / Spearhead
c. 1st Millennium BC

A substantial and well-preserved ancient bronze arrowhead or light spearhead, attributed
to the Greek / Luristan cultural sphere, dating to the 1st millennium BC.
The piece features an elongated leaf-shaped blade with a strong, clearly defined central
midrib, tapering to a sharp point. The lower section retains an intact elongated tang,
originally used for securing the head to a wooden shaft. The proportions and
craftsmanship are characteristic of ancient Near Eastern and Eastern Mediterranean
projectile weapons, suitable for both warfare and hunting.

The surface is covered with a naturally developed green patina, with areas of darker
mineralisation and light encrustation consistent with long-term burial. No modern
cleaning or restoration has been carried out; the piece remains in an honest,
archaeologically intact condition.

Large examples of this type are increasingly scarce and are highly regarded for their
historical presence and elegant simplicity.
