A dreamlike Egyptian Mummy Mask made of faience beads in various colors. The beads have been re-strung in their original arrangement to form a face with a beige nose, black eyebrows, and beige and black trapezoidal eyes. The mouth is decorated with reddish-brown beads. The skin has a green hue, symbolizing rebirth, fertility, protection, and eternal life in the afterlife. Masks of this type were placed over the face of the deceased during burial, similar to the better-known mummy masks made of papyrus or wood.
