Bert Stern worked on his own negatives, cleaned them, and enhanced his images, creating the brilliant and vibrant photos you see today. He printed using several inks tinted onto archival photo paper; he called them Pigment Prints, guaranteed not to fade for 100 years.

Stern, known for his iconic portraits, immortalized here the palpable passion between these two icons, a love as tumultuous in life as on screen.
He was one of the last photographers to shoot Marilyn Monroe, in June and July 1962 for Vogue magazine. Monroe died in August 1962. These sessions became known as The Last Sitting; The 2571 photographs taken on these sessions were published after her death in The Complete Last Sitting in 1992.
Each print, signed and numbered by Bert Stern before his death in 2013, comes with a certificate of authenticity.
