Dear Ada & Albert, Well first of all I should like to thank ya very much indeed for the 200 Players Ciggs which I received last night. It is very kind of you indeed, and I shall never forget how everyone has been so good to me while I've been away from home. I hope these few lines will still find ya both in the very best of health and getting along alright. Glad to say that I'm still in the pink of health myself and getting along OK, so ya need not worry to much about me as I'm looking after myself. I had such a nice letter from Jack Partlow and his wife yesterday so that will mean another one to write to. But there I don't mind as I've got bags of time on my hands for writing these days. I'm room-orderly again today so I'm going to have a very quiet day in my billet today as we have the day off from work. There is a very nice breeze blowing this morning so I've had to discard my towel till later in the day as its certainly going to be proper mellow again round about midday. Well we have started into another month and how the time flies. I daresay ya are all getting excited about your holidays now. Lucky people? was dead. The natives went mad out here. I've never heard such a row in all my life, goodness knows what it will be like when peace is declared. There are notices put up how they are going to celebrate it and it looks as if we are going to have a jolly good time. Two days holiday with processions, services at the churches, native dancing, firework display, and the bells ringing, hooters blowing and all the rest of it. I guess it will be very quiet at home as everyone has got someone in the services haven't they.
