Offered is a striking vintage Universal Genève White Shadow Automatic (Reference 866105) dating to the 1970s. Designed by the legendary Gérald Genta, the White Shadow line is renowned for housing some of the thinnest automatic movements of its era, made possible by the innovative micro-rotor technology.

Dial & Aesthetics:
This particular example features a highly unusual and visually striking "Unique Script" dial, utilizing unique stylized Asian-style characters in place of traditional numerals or indices. As clearly visible in the photos, the original white dial has developed a heavy, uniform "spider" cracking pattern (patina) throughout the lacquer, which is common for these vintage models and adds unique character.

Movement & Case Details:
At the heart of this timepiece is the prestigious Universal Genève Caliber 2-66, an ultra-thin 25-jewel automatic movement featuring a beautifully finished gold-colored micro-rotor. The stainless steel cushion case is exceptionally slim at just 6mm. The case back bears the engraved reference number 866105.
