This exceptional natural Peridot from Sapat Gali, Kohistan, Pakistan, presents an imposing freeform crystal architecture combined with remarkable translucency, intense vitreous lustre and a highly expressive yellowish olive green colour. At 7.60 carats, the specimen possesses substantial presence while preserving extensive gemmy areas throughout the crystal body, creating an outstanding balance between collector aesthetics and genuine gemological potential.

The colour is particularly dynamic. Under ambient illumination, the crystal displays a vibrant yellowish olive green characteristic of fine natural Peridot, with different areas revealing subtle variations in saturation as the specimen is rotated. When strong direct light passes through the crystal, the colour transforms dramatically into an exceptionally luminous Lime Green, activating the translucent body and producing an intense internal glow. This optical response is especially striking because light penetrates deeply through large portions of the specimen rather than remaining restricted to the surface.

Its colour originates naturally from iron within the olivine structure. Peridot is the gem variety of forsteritic olivine, belonging to the magnesium iron silicate series, with the ideal forsterite composition Mg₂SiO₄. Ferrous iron, Fe²⁺, incorporated naturally into the crystal structure is responsible for the characteristic green colour of Peridot.
