Moeck Rottenburgh No. 529 Ebony Soprano Recorder – Friedrich von Huene – Original Case & Papers

Vintage Moeck Rottenburgh No. 529 soprano recorder, an older discontinued example from Moeck’s respected Rottenburgh range.

Designed by Friedrich von Huene after the historic instruments of Jean-Hyacinthe-Joseph Rottenburgh (Brussels, 1672–1765).

This is the desirable No. 529 ebony/blackwood version, identified by the original “MOECK 529 ROTTENBURGH SOPRAN” label retained with the instrument.

A particularly complete example accompanied by its original fitted Moeck case, certificate and instructions, separate maintenance sheet and original cleaning accessories.

The recorder has been played and appears to function correctly and produce sound as expected. I am not a recorder specialist or professional musician, so its playing characteristics have not been professionally assessed.

The recorder presents very well for its age. Upon careful visual inspection, I can see no cracks, significant damage or evidence of previous repairs. There are signs of previous use and age consistent with a vintage wooden musical instrument.

The original fitted Moeck case is in great condition for its age, remaining clean and well presented with only minor signs of age/storage visible.

The original paperwork is also in great condition, particularly considering its age, and includes the certificate/instruction booklet and separate Moeck maintenance instructions.
