賣家描述
An exceptional antique Japanese lacquer writing set consisting of a Bunko (document box) and matching Suzuribako (writing box), exquisitely decorated with luxurious Takamaki-e (high-relief gold maki-e) and brilliant Raden (mother-of-pearl inlay).
The exterior presents magnificent blooming peonies (Botan) spreading gracefully across the lid, enhanced by shimmering mother-of-pearl leaves and delicately applied gold powders. The composition is enriched with textured rock formations, creating remarkable depth and an elegant three-dimensional appearance characteristic of fine Takamaki-e craftsmanship.
Opening the writing box reveals a beautifully finished Nashiji (gold-sprinkled lacquer) interior with its original writing implements tray. The suite retains its original water dropper (Suiteki) and inkstone, adding charm and collectability.
The Bunko interior is likewise finished in refined Nashiji lacquer, demonstrating the high level of craftsmanship throughout the entire set.
Peonies symbolize wealth, prosperity, nobility, and good fortune in Japanese art, making this an outstanding decorative object as well as an important collectible.
An elegant example of traditional Japanese lacquer art suitable for collectors of maki-e, tea ceremony utensils, Japanese writing implements, or museum-quality decorative arts.

Bunko: 43 x 35 x 16 cm
Suzuribako: 26 x 23.5 x 7 cm
