Painted ceramic vase dating to the Bronze Age.
Elegant kernos vase with double body and bridge handle coated with a cream engobe adorned with motifs painted in black. The kernoi are sets of offertory cups consisting of several small bowls intended for different offerings, assembled into a single piece and generally equipped with a handle.
Vases of this type were produced in the eastern Mediterranean basin, notably in Cyprus.
Although red polished ware and its variants (polished black, ochre, etc.) make up the bulk of Cypriot pottery from the Middle Bronze Age until the middle of the Middle Bronze Age (MCIII), a few painted pieces are also found, white ceramic being by far the most important.
Its production continued until around 1400 B.C. (mid Bronze Age Late), after which white engobe pottery, quite similar, took over.
