This elegant Japanese porcelain vase is a fine example of traditional Kutani ware, decorated in the highly recognizable 青粒鉄仙Ao-chibu Tessen style.

The body is covered with countless finely applied turquoise-blue raised dots known as “Ao-chibu,” creating a richly textured surface. The upper and lower sections are finished in a deep red ground with delicate gold arabesque and geometric patterns, creating a striking contrast with the dark body.
