This painting presents a serene rural stone construction located beside a calm water surface, surrounded by trees, vegetation and an open landscape that extends toward gentle hills. The house occupies a good portion of the left half and is distinguished by its aged walls, dark small windows and reddish clay tiles that descend at different heights. On the right, a large tree illuminated by the sun accompanies a simple wooden fence, while the blue sky and light clouds provide breadth and luminosity to the scene.

The building constitutes the main element of the composition. Its robust and silent presence dominates the landscape without overpowering nature completely.

The irregular arrangement of its different sections suggests the house has been extended or modified over time, adapting to the needs of those who lived there.

The main building rises in the upper left and features a facade in browns, grays, ochres and greenish tones. These chromatic variations convey the wear of the materials and the changing incidence of light on the stone. Some areas appear illuminated, while others remain in a cool shadow.

This descending line coincides with the slope of the roofs and guides the gaze toward the lower body of the construction. One of the windows is near the highest part and is partially enveloped by the alero shadows. Three other openings are irregularly distributed along the wall. This lack of symmetry gives authenticity to the construction and reinforces its traditional appearance.

The window frames present gray-greenish and subdued tones that relate to the surrounding vegetation. Some edges receive a soft light, while the interior areas remain almost black. This contrast makes the openings function as small points of mystery on the facade.

The roofs are covered with tiles in reddish, orange, ochre and brown tones. Their warm color stands out against the gray walls and the blue sky. The coverings form a sequence of diagonals that visually organize the different volumes of the building.

The upper roof runs along the entire main building and projects a deep shadow on the wall. Its irregular edge suggests the age of the tiles and the passage of time. Light concentrates in some reddish zones, making certain fragments stand out with particular intensity.

In the center appears a second roof that descends toward the foreground. Its wide, warm surface covers a lower construction, possibly intended for agricultural tasks or storage. The slope of this roof creates a very attractive transition between the main body and the small annex on the right.

Below this roof extends a dark wall that contrasts with the exterior brightness. In its center there is a large fully shadowed opening. This opening seems to belong to a shed, barn or work space linked to rural life.

The small annex located in the central-right area presents a clear wall and a sloping roof. Its facade receives light and allows differentiation of several cream, gray and yellowish tones. This construction helps visually close the set and establishes a transition to the vegetation.

The illuminated corner of the annex stands out against the deep shadow of the shed. This opposition between light and darkness provides volume and allows perceiving the arrangement of the different architectural bodies. The building seems to advance toward the viewer and then recede toward the tree.

In the foreground a horizontal strip of light-colored earth extends along the water. Its beige, white, ochre and pink tones suggest a path or illuminated shore. This area separates the building from the dark reflection and provides a luminous base for the entire architecture.

The water surface occupies the lower part and appears dominated by deep greens, grays and bluish reflections. Its calmness allows the light and shadows of the surroundings to project softly. There are no significant ripples, but a stillness that emphasizes the general serenity.

In some areas of the water there are clearer reflections, especially toward the center and right. These gray and greenish shades may correspond to the sky, the path and the illuminated walls. The transition between dark and light zones adds depth and prevents the foreground from looking uniform.
