The composition is dominated by an abundance of ripe ears, whose ocher, brown, yellow and white tones create a warm and vibrant surface. In the distance, a group of houses with red-tiled roofs clusters around a tall tower, while a mass of dark trees closes the landscape on the right. The gray sky and the relief wrapped in a light mist grant the scene a serene, silent and deeply evocative atmosphere.
