Vintage SCHMID (Germany) Mantel/Table Clock - Neuchâtel Style, Functional
I am selling a mechanical table/mantel clock in the Swiss Neuchâtel (Louis XVI) style, produced in the second half of the 20th century by the renowned German company W. & A. Schmid-Schlenker jr. (marked on the mechanism with the original FABRIK SSS MARKE logo).
It is a special decorative piece, with an elegant garnet/burgundy colored case, decorated with golden floral details and curved bronze/brass legs.
Technical details and condition:
Mechanism: Original German brass, with anchor escapement and pendulum. Includes chime system (full and half strikes on metal bell).
Working condition: The clock is perfectly functional, the mechanism is clean and complete.
Accessories: Please note that the clock does NOT have a turning key (a standard table clock key is required.
Important delivery information:
To avoid any risk of damage during transport (especially breakage of the extremely fine pendulum suspension or the spindle), the clock will be sent with the pendulum disassembled. It will be packed separately in the same box. Mounting the pendulum at the destination is a simple operation, taking just a few seconds, which is done through the back door of the clock
