賣家描述
A superb Unica artistic creation by A.D Copier for Leerdam Glasfabriek, circa 1970, measuring circa 15cm in height and weighing 1090g, the orange and clear glass with controlled bubbles to a yellow interior. Not marked but thought to be second choice.
Mindere Keus: the artist was not 100% satisfied with the object. The object was technically and aesthetically too good to be destroyed, but just fell short of the factory's strict first-choice requirements. This glassware was often sold at reduced prices at the time in the special factory shop in Leerdam, often marked MK to the underside.
"'MK' pieces are still highly sought after among collectors today. Because these are often unique designs, they hardly lose any historical or artistic value due to this mark." (Source: Galerie Verboog)
With thanks to Ruud Verboog for his help and expertise.
Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs. Minor normal wear to the underside.
This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
