日本 Kinkozan 京薩摩 花瓶 — 明治时期 — 手绘与镀金 - 陶瓷, 陶器 - 明治時期（1868-1912）

Fine Japanese Kyō-Satsuma earthenware vase attributed to the Kinkozan workshop of Kyoto, probably dating from the late Meiji period, circa 1890–1910.
The slender vase is richly decorated with finely painted traditional Japanese female figures in elaborate dress, accompanied by floral and ornamental motifs. The decoration is executed in polychrome enamels with extensive gilt detailing.

The figures and costumes display fine hand-painted detail, while the ornamental borders and gilded elements give the vase the characteristic luxurious appearance associated with Kyoto Satsuma export ceramics of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The underside bears a four-character red mark, 錦光山造 (Kinkōzan-zō), associated with the Kinkozan workshop.

Kinkozan was one of the most important Kyoto producers of Satsuma-style decorated ceramics, particularly during the Meiji period, when such highly decorated wares were produced for the international export market.

Attribution and dating
The vase is attributed to the Kinkozan workshop, Kyoto, based on the red four-character mark together with the form, decoration, painting style and gilding.
The suggested date of circa 1890–1910 is an informed estimate. The Kinkozan mark was used over an extended period and therefore does not establish an exact year of manufacture.

The vase is in antique condition with signs of age.
There is visible age-related wear to the gilding, particularly around the base/foot. The photographs should be carefully examined as they form part of the condition description.
