Patek Philippe launched the Ref. 3800 as the mid-sized brother of the original Ref. 3700 Nautilus. However, the 3800 was not only slightly smaller, but also introduced some important improvements. For example, it was the first Nautilus to be equipped with an in-house automatic movement: the calibre 335 SC.
