賣家描述
本套件 comprises a matching pair of substantial cast bronze commemorative medals dedicated to the Marcha Cicloturista Internacional Quebrantahuesos, one of Spain’s most celebrated long-distance amateur cycling events.
Issued by Peña Ciclista Edelweiss of Sabiñánigo, the medals depict the iconic Pyrenean mountain passes of Somport (1,640 m), Marie Blanque (1,035 m), and Portalet (1,795 m), together with an eagle in flight and a classic road bicycle, symbolising the demanding route across the Spanish and French Pyrenees.
The pair features two distinct finishes—bronze and silver-grey patina—making it an attractive and unusual set.
Both medals measure approximately 60 mm in diameter and together weigh 172 g.
They are struck in heavy cast bronze with plain reverse sides, typical of limited commemorative or presentation issues produced in relatively small numbers.
A desirable acquisition for collectors of cycling memorabilia, sports medals, Spanish sporting history, or Pyrenean heritage, this matching pair is seldom encountered together on the market and represents an appealing addition to any specialised collection.
