Zenith Antique Pocket Watch – Gold-Plated – Engraved Screw-Back Case – c. 1918

A beautiful antique Zenith pocket watch dating to approximately 1918, featuring a decorative gold-plated case with an elegant engraved monogram on the back.

An especially interesting feature is the screw-down case back, which gives the watch a more substantial and secure construction than the more commonly encountered hinged-back pocket watch cases of the period.
The watch is fitted with a classic white enamel dial with large black Arabic numerals, an outer minute track and subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. The dial remains in attractive vintage condition, showing natural signs of age consistent with a watch over a century old.

Inside is a signed Zenith manual-winding movement, movement number 2,272,004. Based on known Zenith serial-number records, this movement dates to approximately 1918.

The gold-plated case presents very well overall, with age-related wear appropriate to its period. The engraved back, ornate gold-tone hands and classical enamel dial give the watch a particularly elegant early-20th-century character.
