賣家描述
### Short description of the item and its origin
This combined lot contains two vintage Asian hanging scrolls themed around plum‑blossom and spring birds.
The first scroll, *Plum‑Blossom & Japanese Bush‑Warbler (Uguisu)*, is a Japanese Showa‑period work by Taruno Hosui. It is paper‑painted and mounted with traditional silk brocade, a classic Japanese tea‑hanging floral‑and‑bird composition.
The second scroll, *Magpies on White Plum‑Blossom (Xi Shang Mei Shao / Joy Upon the Brow)*, is a Chinese modern‑age painting by Li Qinggui. It bears a poetic calligraphy inscription from the famous ancient poem *Plum Blossom* by Wang An‑shi, plus a cyclic‑calendar date of Wu‑Zi year.
These two scrolls are grouped intentionally as a matched spring‑bird‑and‑plum‑blossom set: both share the auspicious plum‑blossom motif that symbolises hope, resilience and the arrival of spring. One represents Japanese ink‑wash floral‑bird aesthetics, the other showcases traditional Chinese bird‑and‑flower painting culture, creating a beautiful East‑Asian decorative pair with complementary styles.
### Collector’s Value & Benefits
‑ **Matching thematic set**: Rare paired collection of Japanese‑Chinese plum‑blossom‑bird scrolls, perfect for interior wall decoration, tea‑room display or Asian‑art collection.
‑ Rich auspicious symbolism: Plum blossoms stand for perseverance; the warbler and magpie both carry traditional lucky, joyful meanings in East‑Asian culture.
‑ Two distinct regional art styles in one lot, letting collectors own both Japanese Showa‑era and modern Chinese bird‑and‑flower artwork at one purchase.
‑ Both pieces are fully silk‑brocade mounted and ready‑to‑hang, no extra framing work required.
