This is a landscape painting recreating the appearance of the Heijo Palace—
-a World Heritage site in Nara that remains today as ruins—as it looked in its time.

◯Heijo Palace Site 平城宮跡 ／
This is the archaeological site of the imperial palace complex that stood
at the north-central end of Heijo-kyo, the ancient capital of Nara.
It flourished as the capital of Japan from 710 to 784.
Today, the central area—the Heijo Palace Site—is preserved and open to
the public as a large historical park.
It was inscribed as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1998.

There are stains and dirt due to aging.

There is damage to the mounting of the hanging scroll.

This is an antique item.

Please understand that it is used and shows some signs of wear.
