About the artist:

Formally trained at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and holding a BA (Hons) from UWE Bristol, Remco Kingmans is a Dutch artist working at the intersection of spatial structure and visual psychology.

Kingmans creates rare, multi-layered anamorphic 3D sculptures that explore the fragile nature of memory—the poignant reality that something can be deeply felt and present, even when it vanishes from sight. Using precise, suspended wire compositions and multi-dimensional frameworks, Kingmans’ sculptures demand an active viewer. From one exact vantage point, the chaotic lines coalesce into a striking, unified image. Yet, as you take a single step to the side, the image instantly dissolves—falling apart into abstract spatial geometry.
