The Virgin Sperm Dancer is a 1972 counter-culture photobook and special edition of the Amsterdam-based erotic magazine Suck, capturing the spirit of the early-1970s European sexual liberation movement.

The book follows Joop, a young Dutch man who wakes up one morning to find he has been transformed into a woman named Joopie. Joopie has only one single day to experience and enjoy her newly transformed body and the freedom of her new identity before the metamorphosis reverses. She immediately takes to the streets of Amsterdam—then considered a capital of free love and counter-culture experimentation—embarking on a series of vivid, uncensored, and explicit erotic adventures.

Unlike conventional pornography of the era targeted at a rigid demographic, the narrative embraces bisexuality, transvestism, homosexuality, and gender fluidity, refusing to limit its erotic scope to traditional power dynamics or a single orientation.It stands as a key historical artifact of the underground press and the Suck publication legacy, influencing radical art and counter-culture design, famously referenced on the cover of London's Oz magazine in September 1972.

Originally published by Willem de Ridder's notorious "Suck" magazine, it features a text by American expatriate William Levy-known as the "Talmudic Wizard of Amsterdam", design by the innovative Anthon Beeke, and black and white photographs by his wife Anna Beeke-credited as "Ginger Gordon". All told, this is an eye-opening 1972 tour of gender-bending counterculture sex in and adjacent to Amsterdam's public Vondelpark.
