CONDITIONS
Vintage frame dating before 2000, never worn, sourced from a company return at an optical shop that ceased activity. It comes with new sunglasses lenses, CE marked.
In generally excellent condition, with minor surface marks visible on the frame details and metal parts. Please examine all photos, including close-ups of temples, hinges and lenses. No UV performance or polarization is declared or documented.

Any certificates or appraisal reports are provided when expressly indicated in the description or may be requested before the offer, agreeing availability, content and any costs. The expert review by Catawiki is separate from our appraisal activity and does not replace an individual certificate.

For used or vintage items, signs of time and use are evaluated in relation to the nature, era and state of the item. The photographs complement the description without limiting the responsibility for inaccuracies or undisclosed defects.

PREPARATION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY

Each item is checked, cleaned or sanitized in a manner compatible with the materials and preservation, then carefully packaged.

Shipping is tracked and insured according to the service terms used. Items may be stored in different warehouses: allow roughly 7–10 days for delivery, unless otherwise indicated in the order, for special destinations or customs delays. Shipping will occur within the terms set by Catawiki and communicated for the order; the approximate delivery time does not extend the shipping deadline.

Upon receipt, check the packaging. If there are dents, cuts, openings or breakages, ask the courier to note a specific reservation, if possible. We recommend photographing the package before and after opening and keeping the packaging, protective materials and label to facilitate any insurance checks.

The absence of a reservation, photographs or packaging does not automatically waive the consumer's non-derogable rights. In consumer sales, the transport risk is governed by Article 63 of the Consumer Code.

ASSISTANCE AND REPORTS

For any clarification or issue, contact us via the order message on Catawiki, indicating the lot number and describing what you found.

In case of damage, item not as described or missing contents, promptly report the problem to Catawiki support, preferably immediately and in any case within 3 days as per platform procedure, to enable complaint handling and potential suspension of payment.

This operative term does not imply loss of the right of withdrawal or of the legal guarantee under applicable terms.

CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL

When the buyer acts as a consumer and legal requirements are met, they may exercise the right of withdrawal without giving reasons within 14 days of receiving the goods, pursuant to Articles 52 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/2005, subject to legal exceptions.

The decision must be communicated to the seller via an explicit declaration, also using the Catawiki procedure. The goods must be returned within 14 days of the withdrawal communication.

For mere reconsideration, the direct cost of return is borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. Lawful refunds will include the amounts due, including standard initial delivery costs; higher costs for a more expensive delivery chosen by the buyer are not payable.

Refunds are made without undue delay and within legal terms, possibly suspended until receipt of the goods or proof of return, under the conditions provided by law. Amounts collected directly by Catawiki are managed through the platform according to the respective competencies, preserving non-derogable rights.

The buyer is responsible for any decrease in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to verify the nature, characteristics and functioning of the good, within legal limits.

LEGAL WARRANTY AND DEFECTS OF CONFORMITY

In consumer sales, the legal conformity warranty under Articles 128 and following of the Consumer Code applies, even for used goods, taking into account prior use and contractually declared characteristics.

The ordinary duration of liability is two years from delivery. For used goods, a possible reduction, not less than one year, applies only if validly agreed and permitted by applicable regulations.

Where there is a defect of conformity, the consumer is entitled to remedies provided by law: repair or replacement, where feasible, or reduction of price or termination of the contract when warranted.

Our commercial preference is to resolve disputes based on returning the item and full refund when appropriate, rather than negotiating informal discounts. This preference does not exclude mandatory remedies, including price reduction.

If the return is due to a defect attributable to the seller, the necessary costs are on us within the legal terms. Costs for other refund scenarios depend on the cause of the cancellation and applicable regulations.

RESTITUTION, REPAIR AND CONDITION OF THE ITEM

Before performing repairs, restorations, adjustments or interventions by third parties, contact us to verify the problem and agree on a solution. Unauthorized interventions may alter the original state, compromise verifications and affect liability for damages or defects caused by them.

There is no automatic refund for interventions commissioned to third parties. The buyer's non-derogable rights remain: an unauthorized intervention does not by itself result in loss of all protections for defects independent of the intervention.

The returned item must include accessories and documents received and be protected with appropriate packaging. Please attach the order reference and, if available, a copy of the sales document. The original receipt is not the only proof of purchase.

EXTRA-EU SHIPMENTS AND CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE

For destinations outside the European Union, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, duties, taxes and customs clearance charges may apply according to the destination and order terms. Amounts already collected by the platform should not be considered due a second time.

When required, fiscal or identification data may be requested for clearance. A passport number will be requested only if strictly necessary under applicable rules or carrier/authority instructions.

We invite buyers to preliminarily verify import restrictions. For items subject to special regimes, including CITES or cultural heritage goods, shipping remains subject to legal export/import possibilities and the necessary documents.

CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION AND DATA PROTECTION

In remote sales of valuables subject to identification obligations, a valid identity document is required, and remote identification is performed according to applicable regulations.

If indispensable information is missing to comply with a legal obligation, the transaction cannot be completed until regularized. Any cancellation and refund will be handled with Catawiki according to applicable regulations and conditions, without automatic responsibility exclusions.

Personal data will be processed for contractual, tax, customs purposes and for applicable legal obligations, in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 and Legislative Decree 196/2003. Only necessary data will be requested, with information on purposes, methods and retention periods.
