The design commemorates Yuri Gagarin’s historic space flight on April 12, 1961. Gagarin became the first human in space, orbiting the Earth aboard Vostok 1. His connection to watchmaking is also historically significant, as he wore a Sturmanskie watch during his legendary mission.
