Ceryle rudis

Beautiful vintage taxidermy specimen of a Pied Kingfisher (Ceryle rudis) with its decorative solid wooden display base.

The specimen features attractive black-and-white plumage, a long distinctive beak and a natural display pose.

Please note that the bird and the wooden base are two completely separate pieces. The bird is not glued or permanently attached to the wooden base and can be removed easily.

The wooden base is solid and relatively heavy, weighing approximately 1 kg or slightly more.

This is an older/vintage taxidermy specimen and may show normal signs of age, storage and previous display. Please carefully examine all photographs, as they form an important part of the description and show the actual condition of the specimen and base.

Important shipping information:
Some countries may have restrictions or special requirements concerning the import of wooden items from abroad. Because the wooden base is a separate piece, buyers are strongly advised to check their own country’s customs and import regulations regarding wooden products before bidding.

Any import requirements, permits, customs duties or restrictions in the destination country are the responsibility of the buyer.

The specimen and wooden base will be carefully packed for transport.

Scientific name: Ceryle rudis
Common name: Pied Kingfisher
Type: Vintage taxidermy
Included: Taxidermy bird + separate wooden display base
