Kef Model 100 - Reference Series - Speaker

The KEF Model 100 is a compact, high-quality Reference Series centre loudspeaker from the early 1990s. Designed specifically for home cinema and video applications, it combines KEF’s renowned British speaker engineering with a relatively compact enclosure.

The Model 100 uses a 2-way, 2-driver bass-reflex design, incorporating a 165 mm (6.5-inch) woofer/midrange driver with a centrally mounted 25 mm (1-inch) ferrofluid-cooled soft-dome tweeter. This configuration provides clear dialogue reproduction while maintaining a balanced response for music and film soundtracks. Contemporary KEF specifications list a crossover frequency of 3 kHz, a frequency response of 70 Hz–20 kHz ±3 dB, and a sensitivity of 90 dB.

To deliver this product properly, it is carefully packed in very strong boxes, thereby wrapped in bubble wrap with lots of padding.
