Antique Junghans Mantel Clock - G. Brunott Rotterdam - 1907 - For Restoration

An authentic and highly collectible antique wooden mantel clock manufactured by the renowned German clockmaker Gebrüder Junghans, dated precisely to the first half of 1907.

This piece features a rare double-marking that adds significant historical value: the original Junghans 8-point star logo (stamped "A 07" and caliber "151") on the movement plate, and the signature of the prestigious Dutch jeweler and watchmaker "G. Brunott Rotterdam" hand-painted on the enamel dial. Gerardus Brunott established his luxury jewelry business in Rotterdam in 1900, making this an early and fine example of their imported luxury portfolio.

Design & Aesthetics:
The solid oak wooden case features transition design elements between the Eclectic and early Jugendstil / Art Deco styles.
It is embellished with clean geometric carvings beneath the dial and classical turned columns on the sides. The original hinged brass bezel with domed glass opens smoothly to reveal the elegant dial with stylized Arabic numerals.

Condition (For Restoration / Project Piece):
- Case: Excellent aesthetic condition for its age (nearly 120 years old). The wood structure is solid, with a beautiful natural patina, free from major cracks or missing decorative parts.
- Movement: The 8-day mechanical movement with a spiral gong strike train appears complete and original, featuring its stamped Junghans cast-iron gong bracket.
- Important note: The clock is being sold as a restoration project. The pendulum is detached, and the movement will require a professional cleaning, oiling, and proper setup/adjustment to be brought back to fully operational condition. No winding key is included.
