Model History:

The Longines DolceVita collection takes inspiration from the brand’s rectangular watches of the 1920s and combines Art Deco-influenced geometry with contemporary Swiss watchmaking. Its name refers to the Italian expression “la dolce vita” – the sweet life – reflecting the collection’s elegant and refined character.

This early-2000s example features a distinctive black basket-weave textured dial, polished Roman numerals and an integrated multi-link stainless-steel bracelet. Its gently curved rectangular case follows the shape of the wrist, while the date display positioned between four and five o’clock adds a practical complication without disturbing the balanced design.

Condition:

The watch is presented in very good pre-owned condition and retains the distinctive, elegant appearance of the DolceVita collection. Its black basket-weave textured dial is well preserved and creates an attractive play of light across its geometric surface. The applied Roman numerals, baton hour markers, silver-tone hands, Longines signature and framed date display remain clean and clearly legible.

The original crystal is clear and scratch-free. The signed Longines crown is present and the quickset date mechanism operates correctly.

The stainless-steel case displays light scratches, small marks and general surface wear consistent with previous use. Its combination of polished and brushed surfaces remains attractive, and the gently curved rectangular profile is clearly preserved. The case back also shows scratches and light handling marks, while the Longines emblem, reference and serial number remain clearly visible.

The original stainless-steel bracelet and signed concealed clasp show light scratches and normal signs of wear. The bracelet remains in good usable condition and, together with the watch, accommodates wrists up to approximately 19 cm.

A new battery has been fitted, and the timekeeping and date functions are operating correctly. A 3-month guarantee is provided on functionality.
