賣家描述
Casisano, Brunello di Montalcino 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Producer: Casisano
Wine: Brunello di Montalcino
Vintage: 2016
Number of Bottles: 2
Size: 0,75L
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Aging: maturation, which proceeds for 36 months in large Slavonian oak casks
Alc.: 14%
Casisano’s Brunello di Montalcino is crafted from Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown on plots specifically planted within the estate’s vineyards. The Brunello parcels cover 9 hectares, characterized by the distinctive geological makeup of the Montalcino area: a sandstone and marl base rich in rocky fragments primarily *galestro* (schistous clay). There are also traces of volcanic soil, such as the presence of tuff, resulting from the proximity to Mount Amiata an ancient, extinct volcano that was a site of worship for the Etruscans. The estate is situated on the southeastern slopes of the Montalcino hill at an elevation of 480 meters above sea level, benefiting from constant breezes blowing from the Tyrrhenian Sea and significant diurnal temperature variations. The individual parcels are vinified separately, adhering to traditional methods: the must undergoes a long maceration on the skins and alcoholic fermentation lasting 25 days in steel tanks. The wine also undergoes a lengthy maturation period 36 months in large Slavonian oak casks followed by the final blending. A final six-month period of bottle aging completes the process. Casisano’s Brunello di Montalcino displays a deep ruby red color with garnet hues. The nose reveals distinctive varietal notes of fruit and spice, where red berries blend with citrus zest and nuances of black pepper and cinnamon. Tertiary notes of tobacco introduce an elegant, well-structured palate, featuring ripe, pronounced tannins and vibrant freshness accompanied by a very fine mineral streak.
