Xante Battaglia, Italy (born October 1943).

Described as an "eclectic visual researcher," his artistic stature is compared to giants such as Fontana, Christo, Warhol, and Haring. Pierre Restany hailed him as "the only innovation since Duchamp," calling him a classical painter with a supermodern eye.

The "Post-Archaic" and Poetics The artist is known as the interpreter of the Post-Archaic, a movement that gives life to the female figure conceived as the "Great Mother," the origin and support of the universe. Battaglia positions himself as a "Champion of Humanity": a countercurrent artist who aims to demystify self-referential power through "Popular Self-Awareness," restoring the evocative power of art directly to the people.
