An exceptionally well-preserved vintage tin toy Jaguar XK-E (E-Type) manufactured by Bandai in Japan during the 1960s.This is the scarcer and highly sought-after mechanical gearbox version. Instead of the standard mystery action, this model features a manual lever underneath to shift gears/gearing direction mechanically, coupled with a dual-direction electric switch (ON-OFF-ON).
Condition & Functionality:
Mechanical & Electrical: Fully tested and in working condition. The electric motor runs smoothly, and the working headlights light up brilliantly when the car is in motion.
Exterior: The vibrant red lithographed tinplate body and chrome trim details are in a very beautiful, shiny vintage condition with minimal signs of age and play. Rubber tires are fully intact.
Underside & Battery Compartment: Outstanding condition. The battery compartment is pristine, completely free from any battery acid corrosion or rust. The original instructions sheet graphic inside the compartment is crisp and perfectly legible. The original battery door and hatch mechanism are completely intact.
