This painting presents an expansive rural landscape traversed by a path that leads to a distant country house. The scene unfolds before the viewer as an invitation to slowly traverse the terrain, progress through the fields and discover the dwelling that rises amidst a wide and quiet environment. The composition conveys an intense sense of calm, isolation and connection with the earth.

The path originates at the lower area and traverses the scene with an irregular route, full of curves, stones and small color variations. Its presence organizes the whole composition and guides the gaze from the foreground to the house. The ochre, pink, brown and violet tones that appear on the path suggest dry, warm earth, marked by the passage of time and by those who have walked it before.

On both sides of the path grow grasses, shrubs and small plants freely distributed across the terrain. The vegetation is not orderly but naturally adapted to the landscape’s irregularities. The subdued greens, yellows, browns and reddish hues build a rich variety of shades reflecting the field’s diversity and its seasonal transformation.
