Lorenzo Quinn (1966):

"I believe in God, but above all I believe in a pure conscience. Although man is far from perfect, he was created to be perfect.

It has always fascinated me how ancient cultures, such as the Egyptians, were able to create the perfect forms of the pyramids, and how nature itself has produced such perfect forms, like the simple form of an egg.
This shows me that man and nature could be in perfect symbiosis. We are not the highest link in creation; we are simply part of a beautiful, coherent chain: the chain of life.

Artists like Michelangelo and Salvador Dalí have vividly imagined the creation of the perfect being and its proximity to the divine.
This sculpture is my tribute to these two great masters – and especially to Dalí, to whom I owe my introduction to the art world, and in memory of his birth a century ago."
