Biography
Narasaki Tekko (1898-1959)

Born in October 1898 in Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture. His real name was Tosaku. He graduated from Keijo Middle School and studied under Hashimoto Kansetsu. In 1919, he was first selected for the inaugural Teiten Exhibition with *Byojo no Asa*. He continued to receive selections for the Teiten, including works depicting plum blossoms, and was later selected for the reorganized Teiten, the Shinbunten, and the National Art Exhibition commemorating the 2600th Imperial Year. He died in Kyoto in July 1959 at the age of 60.
