An antique Jugendstil / Vienna Secession silver-plated sugar & sweetmeat basket features a beautifully pierced silver-plated frame decorated with relief-embossed, stylized Art Nouveau floral medallions. Complete with its original heavy clear-glass liner showcasing a sharp, starburst star-cut base, this piece serves as a striking centerpiece, sugar bowl, or confectionery holder.
The silver-plated frame is in excellent condition, retaining a bright, polished luster with only minor, age-appropriate surface micro-scratches. The thick glass insert fits perfectly in the metal gallery. It is structurally sound with a sharp starburst cut on the bottom. Note a very minor flea-bite / tiny glass production imperfection on the rim edge (visible under close inspection, see detailed macro photograph), which does not compromise its display or utility.
