Ashtray / desk-side sculptural ceramic ashtray, catalog model 768, designed by Roberto Rigon for Bertoncello Ceramiche d'Arte (Schiavon, Vicenza), from the 1970s.
The object features a cylindrical geometrical structure with thick walls, a deep peripheral concave groove that houses a single lateral through-hole. The top is arranged with two opposing rows of five parallel recesses for cigarette storage.
The piece is finished with the characteristic matte glaze called "Screziato Tabacco", distinguished by a earthy texture in beige tones with brownish shading and darker brown borders.
