With IMOCA, Yves Weiler captures the intensity of high-sea navigation, between golden light and the surge of deep azure. Two sailboats, carried by incandescent red sails, face a powerful and living sea. This canvas refers to the latest Vendée Globes where, in the middle of the Indian Ocean, sailors found themselves after a month of racing to compete together!

The material is worked with energy using knife and brush, creating a dense and vibrant relief. The deep blues and white highlights convey the strength of the waves, while the sky with warm tones evokes a sunrise or sunset, a suspended moment between tension and beauty.
