Dioptase on Quartz – Tsumeb, Namibia

A dioptase specimen from the classic locality of Tsumeb, Namibia, with bright green crystals on a pale quartz matrix.

The dioptase forms scattered crystals and small groups, with a glassy lustre that contrasts nicely with the quartz and its pinkish-red tones. Its uneven distribution leaves much of the matrix visible, giving the piece a natural, balanced appearance.
