“Weightless Atmosphere II (Crimson)” is an atmospheric abstract painting by Paul Polterauer, pairing the warmth of a crimson field with the lightness of two suspended gestures. Rich red and rose tones gradually descend into deep burgundy, creating a quiet sense of depth behind the pale pink forms.
A slender stroke floats towards the upper right, while a longer, curling gesture moves across the lower left. Their ridged surfaces reveal layers of pink and dark accents, contrasting with the broad, softly blended background. This diagonal relationship gives the painting a gentle movement, allowing each form to stand apart while remaining connected to the other.

In its 60 × 80 cm portrait format, the work balances an expressive palette with a spacious, restrained composition.
