Niek van der Plas (XX) - Dagje op het strand

Niek van der Plas
Katwijk aan Zee 1954
Oil on panel 18 by 24 cm signed.

Very fine work by Niek van der Plas.

The painter Niek van der Plas grew up in Katwijk aan Zee, as the eldest son in a family of four children. The fishing village where the old white church, the sea and the dunes take a prominent place is also reflected in many of his paintings. Niek began drawing at a young age, encouraged by his father. In 1966 he was proposed as a student to the Famous Artist School in the United States.

Van der Plas is a colorist. He prefers to work with warm colors. His oil paintings thereby acquire a French atmosphere. The paintings are appreciated by a wide audience at home and abroad.

The painting will be carefully packed and sent by registered mail.
