DESCRIPTION
The Canon EF 50mm F1.8 II is the lens that introduced a generation of photographers to fast primes. At around 130g it is the lightest lens Canon has made for the EOS system, and its simple 6-element Gauss design delivers sharp, contrasty images with a large F1.8 aperture for low light and shallow depth of field. It mounts on every Canon EOS body, film and digital alike, and remains one of the best-value lenses ever sold.
