The rounded body is finished in glossy black, with a beautiful band of blue and metallic speckling across the upper section.
The fine mottled pattern changes in appearance depending on the light, giving the surface depth and visual movement.
Its simple spherical form allows the glaze itself to become the main decorative feature.
The substantial size makes it suitable both as a flower vase and as a decorative object for a Japanese or modern interior.
A maker’s mark can be seen on the underside.
