Copper Vintage Bucket in Hammered Bronze with External Brass Finish – Wood/Fireplace Plant Holder – 60s/70s

Splendid and spacious vintage bucket with a linear and geometric design, characterized by a precious handmade hammered copper interior and a shiny brass finish on the outside. The hammered workmanship creates on the golden exterior beautiful plays of warm and vibrant light.
The item is equipped with a sturdy oscillating handle, firmly fixed to the sides through shaped geometric mounts and usual blind nuts.
Although historically it was born as a container for wood or coal to accompany the fireplace, the combination of metals and the glossy finish make it a perfect example of mid-century modernism, ideal to complete interiors in Mid-Century, Boho-Chic or contemporary rustic styles.
Today this piece is highly sought after by interior designers to be reinterpreted as:
• Elegant cup hide / planter for indoor plants.
The item is in excellent vintage overall condition. The structure is perfectly solid, stable and completely free of holes, cracks or structural dents.
Externally it preserves its splendid shine and the original patina. The interior shows the classic and fascinating reddish color of hammered copper with traces of partial original patina on the bottom. It shows light and localized spots of surface oxidation mainly on the handle, perfect for an object of this era.
Carefully view the photographic gallery
