The Macallan Edition No. 6 以酒厂周围令人屏息的风景为灵感，特别是环绕于基地的生动 Spey 河畔，以及与之相连的酒窖群。

The sixth and final release in the The Macallan Edition series, Edition No. 6 takes its inspiration from the natural wonders of the legendary River Spey and The Macallan Estate, where each and every cask of The Macallan is matured before being hand-selected for use by their expert whisky makers.

Edition No. 6 由五种独特的橡木桶类型共同打造，全部由 The Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner 精心挑选。他从与河流及周边景致相关的独特故事中汲取灵感。美式橡木桶与欧洲橡木桶被选中，以打造一种丰富多层次的风味轮廓；从深黑铜的天然色泽、层层芳香到深邃而回甘的口感，皆呈现出多样体验。

传说中的 Spey 河穿过这片庄园，被公认为大西洋三文鱼的故乡。The Macallan Ghillie 是 Spey 河的守护人，倡导保护河流及周边野生生物。在这段长约1.75英里（约2.8公里）的河流上，少数有缘者可以在 Hardy’s 无与伦比的钓具帮助下，检验技艺、捕捉并放流野生大西洋三文鱼。野生大西洋三文鱼正面临濒危风险。

因此 The Macallan 正与 Atlantic Salmon Trust 合作，提升公众对这一问题的认知，并支持 Spey 河及更广区域的关键保护工作。
